return of the waxxx!

alright sons its almost here, the hip hop/art party of the year, "return of the waxxx"

for this show i will be teaming up with my boy kenrick currie to produce different hip hop icons and have them laser engraved into records! yes vinyl! its going to be hot as hell. i will post the pics as soon as i get them done.

i painted the picture above to go with the fantastic 5 idea that we came up with for the show. the design was done by the very talented leo shia. if you want to hear some real hip hop, do not miss this night.

shooze! pt.1

well as anyone who reads this should know i have a love for shoes and since most of my paintings are still only in the sketch stages i decided i would start a series of posts called "shooze!" in it i will post some shoes from my collection and give them a review.

today i will keep it simple and give everyone a few pics that i took of the whole collection together. this is just to let you know what i am working with here. please ignore the cat bowls and water dishes in the background, i was too lazy to cut them out.

the majority of the collection is nike however there are a few random boys in the bunch.

i will be back soon with my favorite pairs and reviews to go along with them.

bff remix

i know it has been a long time since i have posted something, but i am hoping that this will be the start of a long run of updates.

today we have a "remix" of a painting that i had in the "that's art folks" show. i was asked to do a variation of the unseen bros painting.

the painting is of the yeti and big foot hanging out at the rugby world cup. the painting has been changed to resemble the famous scene after south africa won the rugby world cup in 1995. in the picture i have morphed yeti into nelson mandela and the captain françois pienaar into big foot. i added a few other south arfican touches that were not in the original painting to set the tone. i also added the preliminary sketch to show the beginning of the idea.

more to come
